powerPerfector, proud sponsor of Footprintfriends.com

powerPerfector is not only generating a more energy efficient future; it serves to enable a platform for the voice of future generations. This is reflected in our sponsorship of Footprint Friends and a national school awards programme called WOW - Wipe Out Waste. WOW provides a unique opportunity for school age children to present their ideas for saving energy and resources by eliminating wasteful practices in the school environment. The 2010 event was a huge success with excellent presentations pitched to a panel of green dragons. For more information please contact karen@footprintfriends.com

About Footprint Friends

Footprint Friends is an environmental social networking site for 10 -18 year olds. It launched in August 2007 to promote the voice of young people in the climate change conversation, raise greater environmental awareness and inspire positive social action and learning about climate change among youth groups around the world.

Our sponsorship is so much more than a financial commitment. Many of our powerPerfector employees are Footprint Friends volunteers and champions for everything it stands for. The Founder of Footprint Friends, Karen Ford, is also a key member of our team.

The Government and Footprint Friends

"I am very impressed by the level of commitment and dedication young people are showing in helping to tackle change, which has been highlighted by the Footprint Friends website.

The Wipe Out Waste Awards have provided excellent examples of how to reduce waste and save resources, which are key to improving our environment. The partnership you have formed with the ‘Start’ initiative for the 2010 Awards provides an excellent opportunity for schools to a lead in inspiring us all to achieve a sustainable future.

I wish every school good luck with their entry."WOW

The Rt Hon Chris Huhne, Secretary of State, Department of Energy and Climate Change

"Looking through your Footprint Friends website, I was struck by the creativity… in particular I’d like to thank you for supporting Government’s efforts to encourage young people into the climate change debate.

"It is very encouraging to have organisations like yours working to make it a success."

Ed Milliband, Labour Secretary of State (Oct 2008 – May 2010), Department of Energy and Climate Change
