Yes. The technology is supported by the Carbon Trust which offers 0% business loans from £3,000 ‐ £100,000. The size of the loan offered and its repayment period will be based on theprojected CO₂ savings of the project, which will be assessed by the Carbon Trust. Businesses in Northern Ireland can apply for a loan of up to £500,000. The amount of CO₂ that must be savedper £1,000 of loan value is 2t CO₂ (1.5t in Northern Ireland).

The 0% business loans are available to organisations that fulfill the following criteria:

• Private sector
• Trading for at least 12 months
• For project sites based in Northern Ireland, any sized enterprise
• For project sites based in England, Wales and Scotland:
  
  • All Small or Medium‐sized Enterprises (SME)
  • Larger businesses can also apply if they do not qualify for participation in the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) Energy Efficiency Scheme
