Salix delivers interest free funding to accelerate investment in energy efficiency technologies across the UK public sector.

It enables public sector bodies to improve energy efficiency, attain emissions targets, reduce energy bills and raise green credentials. The Scheme allows public sector bodies to apply for an interest free loan to finance up to 100% of the costs of energy saving projects. Numerous successful powerPerfector projects have been implemented utilising Salix funding within the public sector.

Salix projects are expected to save the UK public sector a lifetime total of £660m in energy bills, reducing CO₂ emissions by 4m tonnes.

Funding is released in tranches, with applications dealt with on a first come first served basis.
