Redborne Upper School in Bedfordshire joins our growing list of schools that are acheiving A*'s for energy and emissions savings. Our IPMVP European standard analysis of the electricity consumption confirmed that since the installation of the powerPerfector, average consumption is 15.2% lower than expected levels and has cut their total CO2 emissions by 50.2 tonnes.
Although Redborne did not need the assistance of a Salix loan - with Schools threatened with staggering spending cuts there may be no better time to take avantage of the loans currently available to invest in energy saving technology. The window of opportunity is narrow - but until 31 December 2010 schools can apply for a 4 year interest free loan from Salix Finance for powerPerfector units. Money is allocated on a first-come first served basis so speed is of the essence. Applications are processed by Salix in a two week period and the first repayments are not due until 2011, by which time the units will have paid for themselves with the energy savings achieved. If you need assistance with these applications please contact the Public Sector team for details.
