Financing energy efficiency to help drive green agenda

The UK’s fastest growing ‘green’ company has launched an innovative financing package that will allow organisations to drive down energy and carbon use with out any upfront cost.

powerPerfector’s cost saving Voltage Power Optimisation (VPO)^® technology is now available using varied financing structures which may be partly or fully funded by the savings from the technology.

Cambridgeshire based logistics and cold storage company Savage Haulage is the first organisation in the UK to utilise financing for VPO technology. Lew Peppercorn, Cold Store Manager, said: “powerPerfector worked hard to find a solution that suited us financially. The savings are expected to exceed the payments, meaning our powerPerfector installation will actually be a revenue source. The service they offer is second to none.”

powerPerfector CEO Angus Robertson said: “powerPerfector is an ‘approved asset’ by a number of leading finance companies - this is testament to its build quality, robustness and 50 year lifecycle.

“The payments have been structured in such a way that Savage Haulage will still make annual financial savings in excess of £1,700 while the cost of the project is being paid off. At the end of the lease, financial savings are expected to rise to around £17,000 a year. These savings directly impact bottom line profits and will increase as energy prices continue to rise.

“With uncertainty surrounding government subsidies likely to halt the growth of micro-generation projects, energy efficiency is now the ‘low hanging fruit’ that can drive carbon saving in the UK.”
