HOW WILL YOU CUT 20%
'We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them'
Albert Einstein.
Times of crisis occasionally bring forth technologies to tackle these demands, powerPerfector is just such a technology.
Since the Christmas break 20 more pP installations have taken place in industries as diverse as Banking, Manufacturing, Catering and Education.
RBS
After the success of the first Royal Bank of Scotland 830kVA powerPerfector installation in Doncaster on 18th November 2006 further sites are lined up for powerperfecting in the next 3 months.
The Doncaster unit is producing 11.3% reduction in consumption and a 10.7% reduction in daily maximum demand. Improving the electrical efficiency of the site as predicted.

TATE
The Tate storage facility holds approximately 95% of the assets of the Tate Gallery, worth billions of pounds. As a critical site it has a sophisticated climate controlled environment to protect our national treasures. The focus on protection and best practice is evident in gaining access to the site and we were pleased to add extra security to the supply and site, along with the benefits of energy and cost saving with the installation of a 210kVA powerPerfector unit 24th July 2006. This has resulted in a reduction in average kWh consumption of over 12.9%.
Those disappointed that we are not an actual exhibit can come and see a pP unit at NEMEX.

3M logo
For more than 100 years, people around the world have looked to 3M for products and ideas that solve problems.
When they needed to address eliminating electrical waste at source 3M turned to powerPerfector.
The first installation of a pP350kVA unit will take place at 3M's Hillingdon site shortly.
We look forward to reporting the savings in a future newsletter.

HBOS LOGO
We all expect banks to know what they are doing when they invest their own money, therefore I am delighted to announce that Halifax Bank of Scotland is one of the second High Street Banks to start rolling out powerPerfector technology after a year of proven results.
The pP420kVA unit was installed in Commercial Street, Halifax in January of last year and has been on trial as part of the bank's energy efficiency programme.
The results generated by HBOS have confirmed powerPerfector's original savings predictions.
Installing the powerPerfector has the additional benefit of protecting against transients and of suppressing harmonics, crucial advantages when large amounts of data are stored.

roadchef
Next time you are on the M5 at Strensham and in need of a Full English Breakfast or a reviving Expresso call into the powerPerfected Northbound RoadChef. Everything will taste much better in the knowledge that the company is doing its bit to reduce this site's carbon footprint and increase the energy efficiency, other sites are now being assessed for installation.
A 350kVA unit was installed this month, we will be publishing results as they become available.

cow battram
Do I detect a Baldrickesque ‘really cunning plan’ as Gordon hits air travel with pollution taxes, Ken taxes more road users and only the well paid and optimistic use the railways?
Perhaps this is a ploy to rejuvenate rural economy's by restricting the workforce to bicycles, walking or working from home (China 30 yrs ago?). Could be the answer to radically cutting some CO2 with the knock-on effect of, a surge in real communities re-emerging with life revolving around the hub of the village the good old post office. (opps!)
2007 will see many of us attempting to reduce our carbon footprint and even become carbon-neutral. I read recently that Boris Johnson, bless him, recommends sacrificing a flatulent cow to offset the CO2 emissions created by taking a family holiday abroad!!
Apart from obviously powerPerfecting who has some pratical suggestions? ..on an email please.

Sincerely,

Kimberley Webster
