nemex 2007

A huge thank you to all those who visited our stand and attended the seminars at last week's Nemex show where there was standing room only at the 'Cutting Waste at Source' presentation by CEO Angus Robertson. The bank holiday provided the extra recovery time the pP team needed after the unprecedented interest in the technology and the subsequent demand for site evaluations, powerPerfector has come of age and going mainstream.
Be assured if you left your details and haven't heard from one of the team yet, you will soon.

BAR RISA 2
As the music pulsates and the ice cold beer slips down a treat, unbeknown to you, you may be experiencing a greener/cleaner night out.
Regent Inns, the dynamic group behind Walkabout, Jongleurs and Bar Risa are powerPerfecting sites all over the UK ensuring that keeping the beer and the customers cool is achieved as efficiently as possible.
The first of 35 sites to be powerPerfected are already cutting electricity consumption/costs and carbon emissions.
We look forward to reporting the results as they become available.

winterhur graph SMALL

A 420kVA powerPerfector with a 9% optimisation setting was installed at Winterthur Life, Basingstoke, on 11th February 2007.
Optimising voltage by 9% ordinarily yields a 14.5% reduction in average electricity consumption. As shown in the chart, average daily consumption for the period since the powerPerfector was installed has been reduced by 16.%. and a 23% drop in the base load.
Great news all round.

There is now a more energy efficient, less carbon polluting site where you can refuel car and body.

Results from the Strensham North Site after the pP350kVA unit installation in January this year with an 8% optimisation are showing as follows; daily average maximum demand reduced by 14.8%, average base load reduced by 9.7%, average daily kWh consumption reduced by 13.3%.

At the beginning of 2007, Bob Lewis from the Swansea Institute of Higher Education approached powerPerfector to explore the potential for our technology within a number of buildings on campus.
The Faculty of Humanities was chosen as a trial site and a pP420kVA unit was installed, we are pleased to report an initial reduction in average kWh consumption of 16% from a 9% optimisation of the voltage supply, 18.1% reduction in daily Maximum Demand and a 28.2% reduction in Base Load Consumption.

defra rural payments agency
Lancaster House part of Defra, have installed a pP280kVA unit with a 9% optimisation. The initial data collected from 1st March through 31st looks very promising and may well improve over a longer period of comparison, though these figures are not to be sniffed at; 11% reduction in average kWh consumption, 6% reduction in peak daily consumption and a 20% reduction in base load consumption.

All DEFRA results will be made available on the web site as they are released.

So we can't be accused of encouraging a North/South divide, we are heading North to spread the word.
After meeting the SEO's of the Scottish Executive we hope to see more Local Authorities/Businesses reaping the same rewards as their Southern counterparts.
Should you not already be aware of the fantastic savings within your reach come along to AECC on 23rd/24th May and meet the pP Voltage Optimisers.

We would like to congratulate the companies that successfully qualified for an Interest Free Carbon Trust Loan to install our technology.
Buxton Press, Pelican Press, Beacon Press, T.J. International, Graham Wood Structural, and Taylor Bloxham, good luck to those currently applying for funding.

As if School Head's and Governor's do not have enough to do, they are now to become their own energy/carbon experts. I can't believe that this is the way forward, how many straws does it take to break a camel's back?
