The Carbon Reduction Manager for North Allerton County
Council. wrote :
'Following the powerPerfector installation we have analysed our consumption and are extremely pleased with the results – a reduction of up to 14.6%. This is a significant saving in energy consumption and money. Our investment in the powerPerfector, which has an expected lifetime of around 30 years, will be repaid within 4 years. Further to the interest created by our first installation in
Ireland, a group of forward thinking energy managers backed by
‘Invest Northern Ireland’ made a flying visit to Land Registry’s
offices in Stevenage to attend a presentation kindly hosted by
Facility's Manager Richard Kent.
Though Government offices do not endorse products, they are very happy to confirm the substansial savings that are being realised at Land Registry sites across the U.K. Since the installation of powerPerfector V.P.O units. Energy savings based on last years prices for a five year period look to top £830.000 whilst also achieving reduced carbon emissions in excess of 1400 tonnes per annum. Land Registry are going to install their 25th unit at new offices in Croydon shortly. |

While the reshuffled get to grips with new responsibilities or
lack of them, the most recent results in the polls indicated
that rhetoric is no subsitute for action.
Green issues played a large part in the run up to the local elections with a lot of useful dialogue and air time given to the growing concern for the welfare of our beautiful planet. As the dust settles and the next headline grabs everyones attention, lets hope that addressing the effects of climate change doesn't get swept under the carpet along with the more embarrassing members of our political party's. |
