Further to the resounding success of the powerPerfector unit
installed in HM Prison Cardiff (13.5%savings), three more
prisons will be powerPerfected in the early part of the New
Year.
Usk, Swansea and Prescoed will be installing a pP150kVA, pP420kVA and a pP210kVA respectively. We look forward to confirming the predicted savings, in reports that will be forthcoming in the spring. |

This well equipped modern facility, includes in excess of 4,000
square metres of recently refurbished clean rooms dedicated to
the manufacture of power semiconductor products synonymous with
innovation, quality and reliability.
The whole site is affected by high voltage serviced by several Transformers and therefore the benefits from powerPerfecting will be substaintial. The first pP1250kVA unit will be installed downstream from one of Dynex's HV transformers and will yeild savings of approximately £25,000 per annum. powerPerfector were notified on December 3rd that all loan
requests that are currently being evaluated to purchase our
equipment will have to yield a carbon saving of 700kgs per £1000
investment. This is a change from the 390kgs before. This means
that whilst most of our applicants will still receive full
funding some will receive differing percentages of their funding
request instead. This change is not unreasonable as the price of
electricity has risen so substantially that they are not getting
their previous carbon savings for their pounds.
It is still a great deal so make your application before the £18 million available is lent !! |

powerPerfector had the opportunity to meet old clients and
network with new ones during an extremely informative and
motivational conference at the LGA in London, the event was
designed to share information and promote best practice.
It was a pleasure to meet so many councilors from committed Local Authorities united in addressing their own rising energy costs, energy consumption and carbon emissions. The general consensus was, put your own house in order then spread the word. The Ministerial address from Ian Pearson MP underlined that; ‘what we do domestically is vital, climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing the world today.’ |

Having learnt that Land Registry Offices around the UK (24 of
which are powerPerfected saving an average 12.5%) are competing
to reduce carbon emissions over the Christmas period the
powerPerfector team have decided to donate 10 native trees,
these will be planted at the winning site. Competition is bound
to be aggressive with over 26 sites taking part so we look
forward to reporting the results and the most effective and
innovative methods used.
