Proof of performance
powerPerfector was
developed in Japan 12 years ago. Over 300,000 units have been installed with no
requirement for repair or replacement and the Japanese government provide
businesses grants of up to 30% to buy the technology. Similar success and
reliability is evident in the numerous installations in the UK.

Once a
powerPerfector unit
has been installed, electrical energy consumption on the site will be reduced,
with an associated reduction in maximum demand and base load. As part of the
service offered by
powerPerfector,
a report will be produced showing these savings once eight weeks have elapsed
since the installation.
To carry out this analysis, we require access to the site’s half-hourly data.
This is typically provided by the utility company that supplies the electricity,
and can be requested by phone or email. Alternatively,
powerPerfector can
request this data on behalf of a customer if they have an email giving
authorisation.
Electricity bills are based on the half-hourly data readings, which form the
basis of the analysis. So a 13% reduction in average half-hourly kWh
consumption is also an effective 13% reduction in electricity costs!
Every site is different, so the methodology used will vary from one analysis to
another. But essentially the object is to compare electricity consumption since
the
powerPerfector was
installed to the period before installation. If energy use is highly variable,
perhaps because it is very sensitive to changes in temperature or some other
factor, it is sometimes necessary to normalise the data in order to compare like
with like. The analysis process will be explained fully, and
powerPerfector are
happy to respond to any questions regarding the analysis methods used.
Once an analysis has been completed we will ask your permission to use your site
as a case study, and may ask for a quotation from you about your experience with
powerPerfector.
